In addition to Safety Ryan Clark being able to play this weekend against the Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison worked out on Monday and coach Mike Tomlin thinks that there is a chance that Harrison could play in Pittsburgh’s home opener against the Jets.
“We will see where he is,” Coach Mike Tomlin told the Steelers official website. “We will follow the same protocol we did with him last week. We will work him up to activity and see how his knee responds to that activity and let that be our guide in terms of his participation.”

Harrison didn’t play in the Broncos game or the preseason and has been rehabbing off a minor knee procedure that took place during camp. Harrison is a fantastic linebacker and an innate pass rusher and he’s well suited to Dick LeBeau’s scheme. We’ll monitor Harrison’s progress this week and keep you up to date with the latest.
