Braylon Edwards is at the Jets facility for a physical, according to multiple sources.
Update 10:02 p.m.: Edwards plans to sign a one-year deal with the Jets, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Brian Bassett, TheJetsBlog.comIt’s hard not to love Braylon Edwards after how productive and impressive his body of work with the Jets was from 2009-2010. His size and frame make for an inviting target for any quarterback. He’s had trouble staying healthy and productive in other offenses, but one of the best things about Braylon is his uncanny body control when he is fighting for a pass. His ability to adjust to poorly thrown passes, pluck a ball from over a defender or position his body in a way to assure an interference call is something that the Jets quarterbacks could surely use.
There is a concern about whether or not his presence would impede Hill’s progress, but at this point, it’s all hands on deck now that Tone is on the PUP and there’s so many questions at the WR position heading into camp.
