Saints Running Back Chris Ivory signed his RFA tender today, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he won’t be traded for a lower round pick. Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News reports that the Jets have made their move:
The Daily News has learned that the Jets have made an offer for Ivory, who visited their team facility last week. The Jets never considered parting with their second-round pick in this year’s draft by signing Ivory to an offer sheet, but they’re interested in acquiring the bruising 26-year-old running back for a lower draft choice.
The Jets would likely sign Ivory to a longer term deal, the parameters of which would have been negotiated when he visited last week, should they manage to agree on a trade.
