Having already signed Willie Colon and recently been linked with Jake Scott, it appears the Jets haven’t finished searching for solutions at the guard position:
Can confirm offensive guard Stephen Peterman is in NY meeting with Jets…if they sign him tomorrow he will compete for a starting spot…—

Peterman is 31 and has been a full-time starter – and remained healthy – for the past three years. Overall, he’s started 66 games in his NFL career, all at right guard. He struggled as a pass blocker in 2012 but had a pretty good year as a run blocker per PFF. However, in 2011, he was one of the better pass blocking guards in the league but graded negatively as a run blocker.
Peterman, who is a 323-pounder, was fined after the Lions’ overtime loss to the Jets in 2010 following two chop block penalties that Bart Scott described as “dirty”, only for the league to later rescind the penalties.
