Calvin Pryor returned to practice, may play in preseason opener

Jets safety Calvin Pryor, who suffered a concussion nine days ago, was medically cleared on Monday and returned to practice (Dickson, August 4).

Rex Ryan said that Pryor may play in Thursday’s preseason opener, even if it’s just to get him acclimated a bit.

Pryor, who was drafted with the 18th overall selection in the 2014 draft, is expected to be an immediate starter in 2014.

I think this kid is going to be a special player. It will take a little time to get acclimated to the pro game, but once he gets his bearings he's going to wreak havoc on receivers over the middle.

Not that anyone cares TOO MUCH but DarrolRayFanClub was not able to post anymore -- back as drfc for the year.

@Hanknaples Hey, missed you Hank. Are you having positive or negative feelings for 2014-15?

@drfc

Thanks !!

Hard to say although the Jets are a better team this year with a stronger Defense!!

The addition of CJ2K, Decker, Vick (when needed) and the clutch play of Patterson makes for a lot of hope and excitement.

However, I still believe the team lacks Offensive Identity and that I'm afraid is the achilles heel....the team just doesn't feel complete !!

I may be wrong but I see the Jets missing the playoffs at 9-7 !!

@drfc @Hanknaples no one knows what will happen this year. lets face it. injuries will play a factor. they will be a good team but good teams don't always make the playoffs. as far as being a great team i think that is unrealistic.

I believe our run defense will be great, sadly can't say the same about the secondary.
