BDarc23 5pts Who will lead the Jets in INTs this year and how many? I'll go with Wilson and 5. Bent moderator 5pts On the subject of Walter Football and their hilarious Jets-hating predictions, I stumbled across this yesterday:http://walterfootball.com/season2006_AFCE.phpBuckle up, because these are some gems:I think Mangini will be a good coach in the future (haha)...but he'll be a miracle worker if he gets New York to the postseason this year. (They went 10-6, the 7th best record in the NFL) Justin Miller is turning into a shut-down cornerback (hahahaha)Inside linebacker Jonathan Vilma, one of the best in the business, plays alongside veteran Eric Barton and the improving Victor Hobson. Outside linebacker Bryan Thomas needs to be replaced, however (Vilma had a terrible season, Hobson got worse, Thomas had a career year)...they picked up Kimo von Oelhoffen, a prolific 3-4 defensive end. Von Oelhoffen, along with end Shaun Ellis and nose tackle Dewayne Robertson, will form a decent line that will improve the team's 15th ranking against the run. (KVO was not good and the Jets dropped to 24th against the run)I believe Mangini will go with either Pennington or Ramsey. If that's his direction, I couldn't disagree more. (Pennington started 16 games and led the Jets to the postseason)Meanwhile, Clemens is clearly the franchise's quarterback of the future. Mangini should start Bollinger unless Clemens is ready to play. (Hahahahahaha)No, we should not take this guy seriously./thread jsadolph 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer It sure as hell beats what we were talking about before. Brendan 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer Everything always goes back to weed, reef. a57se 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer Piss off! Brendan 5pts @BDarc23 It's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it pays off for 'em. (I go with ED REED with 6) jsadolph 5pts @BDarc23 Geno a57se 5pts @Bent Sounds like Interested Jet wrote that!! Brendan 5pts @Bent Justin Miller......well, then. BDarc23 5pts @Brendan @BDarc23 Interesting...I wonder if we would have heard some rumors by now if Reed was coming. Lloyd Jay Reife 5pts @jsadolph @BDarc23 I'd be tickled pink if Geno throws 6 INTs for the season as the starter. a57se 5pts @jsadolph @BDarc23 Haha...agreed! BDarc23 5pts @jsadolph @BDarc23 LOL a57se 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer @a57se I was joking. Brendan 5pts @BDarc23 I'm sure we would have, I'm just going to keep holding out hope that he's signed. My serious answer is Patterson with 5. jsadolph 5pts @Brendan @BDarc23 Confusious Say: To hope is to Happy Meal.*spoken with heavy accent* a57se 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer there was substance there...and I am in the same boat, so you are not alone! a57se 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer @a57se Sometimes I just say EFF IT, and eat the stuff anyway.... jsadolph 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer @a57se I was like that, then I found Prilosec or Zantac and I eat what I want. a57se 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer @jsadolph @a57se Not going into details but heartburn is not my issue! Brendan 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer Nexium is good, but it's something you have to take daily or at least in the morning before you start your day. If you have a bout with heartburn, it won't counteract it like munching down some Tums would do. But if you remember to take it, it's a huge help with this sort of issue (I have had similar experiences with spicy food as you have, which is equally upsetting since I love spicy food). Lloyd Jay Reife 5pts @Brendan @Dr. Jonathan Reefer Nexium and Prilosec (Omeprezole) are made by the same company. Nexium is basically for the esophagus.I've been taking Omeprezole for years every morning. It helps prevent heartburn. A good home remedy for instant relief is take a pinch of raw oatmeal, (no it's not like a steak with all the trimmings), chew it until it becomes gummy and your heartburn will disappear in moments. a57se 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer nods head... a57se 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer @Brendan Chili Cheese Fries with Hot Sauce! juunit 5pts @Lloyd Jay Reife @Brendan @Dr. Jonathan Reefer Famotidine is the other, besides Omeprezole. Figure out which one works better for you and just buy the generic at CVS. I supposedly have acid reflux, so I've been taking either/or for a few years. Although secretly I think my throat is just inflamed when I go to the doctor from smoking and I don't actually have any acid reflux. a57se 5pts @juunit @Lloyd Jay Reife You smoke cigarettes, juunit? juunit 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer I never stuck with the probiotics, but I didn't feel like they did much in the short span that I forced myself to eat the stupid yogurt every day. juunit 5pts @a57se @juunit @Lloyd Jay Reife Not always, although I do currently yeah. I think the inflammation comes from smoking other things though. Lloyd Jay Reife 5pts @juunit @Dr. Jonathan Reefer I bet if Erin Andrews administered it, you'd all be fine. Very fine. a57se 5pts @juunit @a57se One of the reasons I didn't like smoking pot was that it was much harsher (to me) than cigarettes which I smoked all the time. juunit 5pts @Lloyd Jay Reife @juunit @Dr. Jonathan Reefer You hear she knocked Pam Oliver out of her job? Andrews is the #1 sideline reporter for Fox this year and Oliver is #2. Then, next year, Oliver is out of the job entirely. juunit 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer @juunit I believe it with cucumbers. Those things are f***ing magical. They'll cure cancer one day. juunit 5pts @a57se @juunit It definitely is. Coughing from weed is normal. Coughing from cigarette smoke probably means you're going to die soon. Lloyd Jay Reife 5pts @juunit @Lloyd Jay Reife @Dr. Jonathan Reefer Oliver is/was an NFC reporter, yet she hates the Jets and was caught ragging on them out of the blue. Brendan 5pts @juunit You need a Vape, dude. a57se 5pts @juunit @a57se I figured my body was smarter than me and if it didn't want me doing it, then I shouldn't...LOL juunit 5pts @Lloyd Jay Reife @juunit @Dr. Jonathan Reefer Well f*** her then. Enjoy your forced retirement Pam. juunit 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer @juunit @a57se I don't even. They don't seem to sell dutches anywhere in LA. Phillies suck and White Owls are for dust. So I pretty much just skip the blunts now. Brendan 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer I honestly can't do them anymore. I feel like I'm smoking a tree trunk. a57se 5pts @Brendan @juunit I tried water pipes...and have had plenty of second hand smoke. There were other reasons I stopped as well. juunit 5pts @Brendan @juunit I've got a Pax. I hate it. My $15 bowl works better than my $250 + tax vape. Brendan 5pts @juunit The Pax wasn't built to last. Nice idea, but just not quite perfected (I have one, too). Get a stationary one and you're set. Also, the vape pen is the tits. Still figuring out the legality of ordering that stuff online, though, since it's not legal here. Brendan 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer They're huge in NY. I used to work at a convenience store in my town and we'd clear at least 2 boxes of them on a Friday night. Phillies and White Owls are literally cardboard, I never understood people who could use those. Brendan 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer I used to face blunts all the time. At my worst, I used to roll spliffs with a blunt. Just think about that for a second. I might as well have been sucking on an exhaust pipe. juunit 5pts @Brendan @juunit The one I've got has a 10 year warranty. I just don't think it works all that well. My whole reason for buying it was it's supposed to be more efficient, but you've gotta really pack the thing otherwise it doesn't really work at all. Totally defeats the purpose. Yeah, I should've got a Laughing Buddha or something. Brendan 5pts @juunit Yup, this is my experience as well. There was about a 6 month time period where the thing hit like a champ, but then it crapped out and is a mess now. juunit 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer @Brendan Oh man, those things are gross. The greens are the worst. Easy to roll though. They're for amateurs. Brendan 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer HAHA omg I forgot that those existed. I used them for a bit in college because they have a strong taste, but holy crap they would shatter like glass when you tried to roll. The best are the blunt raps endorsed by rappers. "Sheek Louch has a blunt rap? Well, I have to try this for no other reason than the fact that SHEEK LOUCH HAS A BLUNT RAP." juunit 5pts @Brendan @juunit I don't think it's ever hit like a champ honestly. And it works best with dry bud, as in, old stale bud. It's just stupid. The only real advantage now is lack of smell. But since my building is full of kids my age, mostly who go to the art institute down the street, nobody cares if there's a little weed smell in the hallway. In fact, they probably prefer it. juunit 5pts @Dr. Jonathan Reefer @juunit @Brendan Yeah, I'd just refuse. The only thing I was ever willing to live with was when people insisted on a strawberry dutch, or a grape if there was just no other option. Otherwise, I'd buy them the damn vanilla or just put it all in one.
