Really cool thing happened last night at Hofstra:

I had promised my 7 year old son that I would take him but then was forced to work late last night.  I felt really guilty and my  wife is a trooper, so she packed him and his 5 year old and 11 month old sisters up and went to the fan night anyway.  As they were sitting in the stands my son didn't have any idea what was going on and neither did my wife, but a guy named Chris was nice enough to point out the players and tell the boy what was happening with the walk throughs etc.  He also parted a bunch of fans up front to make sure my son got a T shirt.  After the practice ended my wife couldn't remember where she left the car and was wandering around in the parking lot with three tired and cranky kids when a group of fans collected them and helped them find the car.

Here is the coolest part; as they were getting in, Chris walked by and said to my son, "hey buddy, this is for you!" and tossed him a signed Nick Mangold football.  My boy is never going to forget that, and we all know our fan base is a little rough around the edges but I will always remember how a bunch of strangers with only the Jets in common looked after my family and made me just a little prouder to be a Jet fan.

Chris, I don't have any more info to thank you properly but you are the man!

Fun Fact: Mark Sanchez missed more games to injury last year than the entire draft pick class of 2014 combined. So anyone who has already commented that Idzik takes too many risks on injured players better be careful about how they react to Sanchez's strong preseason.

Will this game be on replay somewhere? I'm overseas this week wont be able to watch it live.

The Jets can be really good if they just switch to cover two for a liitle bit. At least until they get Patterson and Millner back. I hope Rex can step off the gas a little when the season starts and give these guys help over the top . Tonight I'm guessing Walls is up next experiment to see if he can handle being out there a I'land.

The Giants are experimenting moving offensive line man  around in different positions tonight on the O-line . Not good. Jets pass rush tonight should be over the top.

Ya know what guys I really cant see why the Jets offense cant composate and putt up alot of points come regular season. Heck we have some tallent over there on the offensive side of the ball now. I'm sure Marty will have some plays for this offense.

One more thing Cant hurt for the Jets to take a look at the Eagles and watch what Chip Kelly is doing maybe implement some of that into the Jets offense.

No reason why the Jets cant get her done.

@WW85

The NFL Network is showing it Saturday morning...9a.m. CST. That's when I get to see it!

@WW85 SNY and NFL network will both be showing it this week, but that probably won't help you. If you want to spend the $20 on the preseason pass thing, you'll be able to watch it on demand, but there aren't many other options outside of finding a site to pirate it.

NFL network will air if afterwards of coarse. NFLcom on the computer you can check it out live or any time you want.

Sanchez' first series last night reminded me of our version of him...a couple poor throws (one almost picked off) and a really bad decision to hold onto the ball and then fall down in the red zone that was negated by a defensive penalty.

That second drive though, he threw some beautiful passes and looked really sharp...

@__fense @WW85 Actually, there is a couple of sites to pirate it. My situation as I live in Brazil ESPN doesn't count and pass won't work for everything. I still manage and watch all JETS pre/reg/playoff games!!!!

I gues it won't be ethic to write it here but I recomend you to look for it on web.

And let's end the game tonight in one piece with no more injuries!

At the very least it may by some time. Have to wait till the regular season and see if these guys come alive could be that.

@Brendan @Disgruntled Jets Fan Someone whose Dad told him the game was really meaningful and that it would be the end of the world if a team underperformed?

We know this much: If Eli comes out looking like a stud, then we know that we're in for an 0-16 season.  It will not get any easier than the Giants.  If we can't shut down these guys, with no real game planning, then we won't be able to slow down anybody.

I was reading That the Eagles have the 2nd best offensive line in football in the power rankings on NFL.com and at the very least that o-line is pretty good. Not much of a wild cat fan since Brad Smith left. Defenses have it figured out I guess pretty much right now.

 @roadyhorns @bob @UncleJoesJetFarm

I guessing most of the time worst team in the league normally has the worst offensive line in the league. I'm hoping at the very least the Giants offensive line can put it together. As of right now it hasent been good for the G-men.

@Brendan @bob

Yes it is Brendon I hope some day the Jets o-line looks that good. Philli is gonna make some noise this year.

Bent

@bob @roadyhorns @UncleJoesJetFarm When the Giants won the SB a few years ago they DID have the worst offensive line in the league!

But yeah, that's usually true,

Brendan

@bob The Jets should have a very good OL this year, but the Eagles have the best LG and possibly the best LT in the league, so the Jets won't get to that level this year. But that doesn't mean they can't be good enough to get the job done.

bob
bob

@Bent @bob @roadyhorns @UncleJoesJetFarm

Didnt know that. but that year I think they really wernt playing good until they got into the playoffs also the got some of their starters back. I think that was on the d-line.

bob

@Brendan @bob

Yep I think The Jets O-line if they stay healthy are pretty good however take over a game againts a really good defense . well that for me remains to be seen. Absolutely though the Jets O-line is good enough to get it done thanks to the Jets running backs and Geno. Sure would be nice if they could be more like the Bengals or Eagles
