All three quarterbacks saw reps in another sloppy showing for the newly installed Sparano offense. The game got started in the second quarter when Mike Nugent connected on a 22 yard field goal. The Jets responded with Josh Brown hitting a 42 yarder on the following drive. In the waning minutes of the first half, the Bengals blocked T.J. Conley’s punt in the Jets’ own end zone and the ball was recovered for a score by running back Cedric Peerman. Peerman would score once more in the third quarter on a 1-yard run. The Jets’ offense continued to struggle only able to muster enough yards to trot out Nick Folk for a 38 yard field goal. The Jets lost 6-17.
