Their Previous Meeting: The last time these two teams met, it was a struggle of a game as the Jets were reeling with miscues. The Clyde Gates tipped ball that turned into an interception, Sanchez’s interception in the red zone, Tebow getting stuffed in the red zone, the defense struggling with the loss of Darrelle Revis. It was certainly forgettable however, despite all of this, the Jets held a three point lead with three minutes left in the fourth quarter but, the defense, clearly missing the presence of Darrelle Revis, couldn’t stop the Dolphins from driving down the field and ended the sequence with Dan Carpenter hitting the game-tying field goal to force overtime. The Jets would emerge from the fire with some battle scars as Carpenter missed a potential game winning field goal and then Nick Folk was given a chance but, it was blocked…after the Dolphins called timeout. On the retry, Folk hit it down the middle to secure the Jets a 23-20 victory.
