Jets rookie Dee Milliner has been back in Alabama attending a series of events over the past few days. He spoke to Jeff McIntyre of the Times Daily about winning championships in college, getting drafted and his expectations for life in New York and the upcoming season:
There are goals I would like to achieve, such as being the Defensive Rookie of the Year and making the Pro Bowl. But the main thing is to get out there and do the things I’m supposed to do. If I do that, then good things will come
It seems strange to say this about a top ten draft pick, but Milliner’s addition to the Jets seems to have flown under the radar somewhat following his limited participation during the offseason program and all the focus on the implications of the Sheldon Richardson pick later on in the first round.
What are your expectations for Milliner in the short term and beyond as he hopefully prepares to enter camp healthy in two and a half weeks time?
