Fans held their collective breath when Muhammad Wilkerson was helped off the field at the end of the Jets game against the Patriots. The whispers are positive on Wilkerson’s status, which seem confirmed by his jogging on the sideline this morning while the team started drills.

Brian Bassett, TheJetsBlog.comRyan has always taken a very precautionary stance when it comes to his veterans and playmakers. It is a very good sign that Wilkerson is jogging and we expect that Wilkerson will take it easy this week in the hopes that he might be ready on the extra rest for this coming weekend’s game against the Bills. It’s certainly a positive sign that he’s jogging and confirms the less than serious nature of the injury.
What makes this better all the better is that Quinton Coples is dressed. Good signs for the Jets defensive line this week.
