Pryor still not cleared for contact

Calvin Pryor is on the practice field — but still wearing a red non-contact jersey — at camp on Monday.

Bilal Powell, Dimitri Patterson, Shaq Evans and Ellis Lankster are among those in the rehab area.

OT Markus Zusevics is not practicing due to a leg injury.

It is good that Pryor is getting back into the swing of things, but don’t expect to see him suiting up this week against the Colts.  We suspect that the rookie might not see time in a game until the second preseason game at the earliest.

I'm sure his concussion was serious enough to extend his NON contact period !!!

The question is why would he DENY it in the first place when the NFL protocol calls for a immediate and full diagnosis once it happened, right Brendan???

They don't need to rush him or even overuse him. They have 2 legit safety ready to start. Just ease Pryor in during his first year, so we get the opposite of what hapened with Milliner (except the end of the season, of course :)

I think Lowery's career may be done due to concussion issues.  Hopefully it's just a one time event with Pryor.

Pryor probably won't play until 2nd preseason game.
