Vote: Jets starting QB will be…?

I hope Geno starts.

We need to find out what he's made of, if he's improved.

I don't want it dragged out for years.

Let him start this year and see how he improves ... or not.

I don't care about the Jets barely making the playoff as a wild card, only to be knocked out, I want the foundation laid for a good team that will be good for years.  That means developing Geno.

There should be a separate vote for all 16 games. It will vary

Not only is this Jets season going to be super entertaining, but so is the blog!  The comments have been awesome! I cant believe only 15 or so days to training camp!

@FisolaNYDN: Carmelo told a friend within hour "I believe in Phil." Thursday is decision day; it looks like Melo's coming

OMG, does the total absence of interest in this article together with a fair amount of ridicule indicate that people have heard enough and said enough on Geno/Vick in the absence of any new news?   Is the well dry? Maybe, just maybe, the media will get it.

Hey Joey, props to your boy Chris Algieri. My son is attending a football camp on Long Island called Big Daddy All Stars and they have speakers come in at the end of the day. Chris came and said a few words yesterday to the kids. Really nice! Sanu is coming today.

@Brendan

Love it.

Let's see if he believes enough to leave money on the table.

Oh, in case anyone isn't watching, three minutes into the Argentina-Holland match, Germany already has a four-goal lead.

@jaygo They're just waiting. Once Geno throws a pick in camp, GAME ON.

@tsjc68 hopefully not week to week, but I'd be surprised if both goes don't start multiple games

@Bytor Chris is a class act. His mantra is always believe in yourself! He is a true role model, not only as an athlete, but a human being! He preaches clean living and hard work. His camp is in the early stages of trying to make a fight come off with Pacman!!!!! He makes Long Island proud!

BTW, the Jets special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey has been there the last couple of days as well. I asked him how fast Saunders was and he rolled his eyes in a good way and said "uh fast!"

He might be there again. What tidbit of info would be useful to us that he may give me that I could ask?

@tsjc68 @UncleJoesJetFarm You don't want to know how I came up with Uncle Joe's Jet Farm. it goes way back in my family history, to an Uncle of mine(Uncle Joe) who attended Yasgurs farm and said it was because of the Jets SB win! It became an infamous family joke and tradition that lives on. Uncle Joe is our Willie Joe, lol

@williamg1 @Brendan

Like Lloyd Jay Reife said yesterday, you can never be too rich or have too many nose tackles.

@tsjc68 I'm not banking on him leaving money on the table, so if he does that will be a hugely welcomed surprised.

@Bytor I'd love to know who is making an impression on punt coverage and kick coverage (both as gunners and as blockers/tacklers).

That info is probably more critical than who will end up as the PR/KR, because guys like Lankster and Bellore may or may not make the squad solely because of STs (and, alternatively, if other guys are able to replicate the good work of a guy like Bellore or Lankster, they could find themselves on the chopping block for a more intriguing newcomer like Ras-I Dowling or Trevor Reilly or Jeremiah George or AJ Edds).

The non-returner part of the ST package is arguably the more important riddle to unravel.

With hall of fame wide receiver's like Stephen Hill, Shaq Evans, Q Enunwe, and Clyde Gates to throw to what could possibly go wrong for Geno??????......oh wait

Vick will play in all likelihood

Awesome question, I hope he's there today.

@tsjc68 @Bytor We already know the answer to this: Saalim Hakim.

@tsjc68 @UncleJoesJetFarm If you are not familiar with the hippy days of the 1960s, you probably have no idea who Max Yasgur or what his farm was. The farm was used for a massive concert that lives on in rock history. I was too young, but my Uncle who is a huge Jets fan to this day has stories that are unreal! The Farm Lives!!!!!!

@bradysucks

First of all, why are you so dismissive of Evans and Enunwa when you've already decided that Saunders is better than some of the players on the roster?  That makes no sense.

Secondly, you've potentially named four guys that won't even be on the active roster on gameday every week.

Decker, Kerley, Nelson and one of Ford, Saunders or Salas could easily be the four man rotation (on the basis that the 5th guy typically doesn't get more than a handful of reps).

@Bytor Honestly, ask him about Hakim and see how he reacts.

@Bytor

You should also ask him how to bring peace to the Middle East.  If he has an answer, that would be handy.

Wrong, Damon Harrison.

@UncleJoesJetFarm

I didn't recognize the name Yasgur immediately, but unlike a57se, I decided it would be more polite to take 0.32 seconds to type it into Google instead of asking you to spoon information directly into my mouth like I'm a helpless baby bird.

@tsjc68 @UncleJoesJetFarm I am trying a new angle and taking a more read only approach to the blog and it seems to be more enjoyable for me. As my reading has been going, I see poor 57 has been taking a beating lately. Better him than the Farm, lol

@UncleJoesJetFarm @tsjc68

We like to tease you for your link-dumps, but they're far, far less annoying than when 57 goes on one of his GrumpyCat rampages or when Hank/Fonzie blather on endlessly about Mangini or Ellis or Harrison or Tannehill or Pettine.

You're good money.  Just stop following Rich Cimini's paranoid and factually inaccurate lead so much, that's all.
